Krista has been a member of the FRED. team for over 22 years. Her passion is for problem solving all hair types, but she has a soft spot for the curly haired. She approaches every head of hair not just to cut, but to sculpt. She knows wash and go hair does not have to be boring. It can be effortless with an edge. Kinky, curly, bouncy, frizzy, fly away, too much volume or not enough, Krista has the perfect solutions. If you have straight hair and desire curls, she also gives a fantastic perm. When you’re in her chair you feel heard, understood and cared for.

Alaina has been with our team on and off for10 years whenever we need her. Outside of work, she loves spending time outdoors with her dog, exploring Nova Scotia, and trying new things. Alaina loves creating natural looking colour that requires minimal maintenance. She is personable, talented and makes every client feel totally at ease in her chair.

 Yvette joined the FRED. team while still a student at beauty school. She immediately proved she had the talent, passion, and vision we look for and has been with us ever since. Originally from the Philippines, Yvette now calls Nova Scotia home. She loves all aspects of the beauty industry, not just cutting and coloring. She has become an expert at nail art and makeup. And enjoys spending her free time making art in many ways, fashion design, and world travel.

Her love language is acts of service and she takes amazing care of every single person who walks through the door.

Ava knows her way around the salon. She practically grew up in it. As Fred’s niece, she has been a fixture since she was born. Ava grew up playing receptionist and eating baby cupcakes at FRED., so it made since when she was ready for a part time job at 14, this would be it. 

Since joining the team, she has gone from being a salon assistant to fully running the front desk, managing appointments & communication, and handling all of the salon social media. 

She enjoys spending time with her miniature schnauzer, Carley, hanging with friends, baking, beach time, and travel. Highlights so far: Paris for her 16th birthday and SZA in NYC.
